Very nice job. Keep working with her. Be calm and confident and don't let her sense that you are anxious, otherwise she will mirror your feelings or think there is something to fear.
Work on topknots and nails when she is tired out, not when she is full of energy. Always follow up grooming with a favorite activity or massage, in addition to a little treat reward. (I tied topknots to going for a walk and this convinced Max it was a good thing

).
Train her to go "down" and rest her chin on a little pillow for topknots. Give her plenty of petting/massage/calm praise. Be persistent. It does get better with age and maturity.
