I used a kitchen scale on my pups and it worked great. They weighed exactly what they weighed when I took them to the vet and she weighed them. I also kept a scrap book of the puppies and I started by documenting every little thing. Sadie's temp was the first thing in the book then pictures of her in labor and then each pup as it was born. I kept weights on them and pictures of them and updated the book every week. Even little locks of their hair. It is neat to look at it now ( a year later ).
