Unfortunately not! The only thing I knew was I wanted a small dog such as a yorkie because they don't really shed and I live in an apt. When I got her, I got all the books and then I learned everything...getting her was kind of spontaneous...but now I know so much better. I think I really lucked out cause she is so sweet....but I hope she doesn't continue to have so GI issues...this weekend worse the worse she ever got sick, woke up to find she vomited blood. Either way she is my baby for life, but scariest experience so far and hope its the last. Nancy posted in another thread about why she advocates the importance of finding a good breeder...I now get it.....
