We free feed Miko also...He's gets a cup to a cup and 1/4 in his bowl (he's a bigger yorkie and this is what is prescription food calls for him to eat) in the morning, he picks at it during the day, and he eats the rest in the evening. I think yorkies need at least 2 meals a day or free feed if they're not little piggies
(I know some have yorkies who will just keep eating and keep eating no matter how much food you give them)
