Jilly only tried once or twice to sniff at her incision and as I was there with her, I just told her "no" and she stopped, so we needed no collar. Same with Tibbe and his neuter - just told him "no" if he seemed interested in it. As far as Jilly's neuter, I had her surgery done on Thursday, she stayed in the hospital that night and I picked her up Friday after work so I had that night and that weekend to watch her and keep her from her incision, which was pretty tiny and I think was glued closed. I don't recall stitches. By the following Monday, she wasn't even apparently noticing it and appeared to be back to most of her normal activities. Tibbe only gave his incision a sniff and that seemed to be that so am so glad he didn't have a collar either.
