When I purchased Mac he was suppose to be approx 5 lbs fully grown. Mac is just shy of 3lbs. at 1 1/2. When he was 3 months Mac was very sick as many of you know. The Neurologist suggested that he be put to sleep. I just couldn't do it. Now, for the most part Mac is just perfect. Mac plays hard, loves to rough house and is just as healthy as, Mellie who weighs 4 1/2 lbs. ( which I still think is tiny). My only concern is their jumping. I think that a Yorkie at any size is still a very small dog and all of them, for the most part, are fragile and do need to be watched around small children. I do however, agree about the explotation of the tinies, especially when people are intentionally breeding smaller dogs, to get an even smaller baby. I think that intentionally putting the Mom in such danger is criminal and abusive.
