We make sure we have shade. And we take a square clothes basket and about a dozen frozen bottles of water. I put a thick towel on top the frozen bottles. Rubin will lay next to the basket. Gracie will hop in and lay on the towel for a few min.s to cool down she will also 'dig' out a frozen bottle and play with it. (I also use frozen 2 litter bottles of water to keep the grandkids cool.)
