Oh, the clean up was awful. Little single dots of reddish orange all over just everything many, many feet from the big mess.

Thing was, I didn't even think of a toxin in the can at the time. I think I was so petrified at the chance I took severely injuring an eye - I guess I was kind of in shock or something and then there was all that work cleaning, washing clothes and treating the stains and shampooing, drying, styling hair. By now the can is already outside in the trash and I'm still recovering from surgery, not in any real shape to get the boat gate open and go through that garbage bag. Still, I will report the occurrence to Chef Boyardee and tell them where I live and that the can was bought in the last 2 months, from what store and hopefully, that can help.

I had never heard of this type of can exploding before from any news source, cooking show or anything so I had just never even thought of it. But that lid was an absolute missile as it zipped past my face! I was amazed that a can of food could have that much pressure inside it. When it exploded, it was so loud it scared Tibbe and he barked and barked. Sure glad I wasn't leaning over that can when I opened it, I can tell you!
