Are you sure he doesn't mean Chicken Soup for the dog lovers Soul? It a dog food. If he means regular chicken soup it's possible to make it without salt, but NEVER use bouillon cubes, they have way to much salt and could kill a dog. He may want you to make some chicken broth and have that for him to drink, which should encourage Noodle to drink more. They do sell unsalted chicken broth in the store, but again make sure that it’s unsalted, it’s not as good as homemade, but a dog might not know. To make chicken broth, boil a chicken in a big pot for 4 hours until it falls apart. You should have enough water to cover the chicken by an inch. Do not add salt or any other flavorings. When you are finished boiling remove the meat and defat either by refrigerating and scraping the fat off or by using a gravy separator. I think I call the vet and ask him exactly what he meant. If he means people’s chicken noodle soup, you’d still want to tweak the recipe so that its dog friendly.
