Thanks for the kind words. I started both of them in the snow when they were about 6 months. Jillie, especially, loved it pretty much from the beginning because I knew what I was doing with clothes. I don't like coats that restrict their movement. I buy ones that look like a horse blanket and don't cover their legs. As long as I keep them moving, the uncovered legs don't seem to bother them. I've heard good things about muttluks, but I've had better luck with lighter booties. The fleece ones in my video are great because they hardly know they have them on. They get wetter than muttluks, but wet doesn't bother them -- just cold. And fleece insulates from the cold.
Beyond that, just keep sessions short and fun in the beginning. Bring a favorite toy out if that helps. Otherwise, a great treat. If you have another dog they're used to, let them all out together and see if they play.
