My dad passed away in October, and through the grieving process, my fiancé was the main babysitter for my two yorkies... and that ended with an enormous amount of matts in Shifu's hair, and they were skin tight. So I went scissor crazy... he basically got a buzz cut. His hair has since grown out about 2 inches, but it's very puffy and wavy. Before the haircut, he had long silky straight hair, perfect.

Is this just the process of growing out? When it gets longer will it become silky straight again?
