Strikes against licenses are by state. Some states have the info on a website. Other than that, you can look at reviews (although people are more concerned with money than with whether a vet actually knows what they are doing, so those are sometimes a waste).
Search for specialists with the sites above.
General vets - AAHA is a very good thing - it does NOT make a good vet though. I know of plenty of AAHA vets that I wouldn't allow to touch my dogs with a ten foot pole. It's all about starting there if you don't have anywhere else to start and then going to offices and meeting them.
