i'm still using a stash of small bands that actually came from daughter's orthodontist. But my daughter has had her braces off for almost a year and at some point these bands will be used up. They come out pretty easily, sometimes I don't want to risk pulling the hair out, so I just clip them out. Somebody told me once that orthodontists will sell you the bands. I suppose it depends on the doctor.
There's one bag in the drawer that has bright colored bands in it - my daughter must have asked for those once and found out she didn't care so much for the glowing mouth.
