Welcome to YT! Congrats on your new addition. We got our Katie Scarlett when she was 12 weeks, so a little older than your pup. I am not sure if we got lucky or what but she didn't ever really cry a whole lot, but it may of been because of the way we did things. We crate trained her as well. We used this thing called a 'Potty Training Puppy Apartment.' It's like a crate but has a divider in it. One small side is her 'bed' and the other is for the potty pad. At night, we kept her in her PTPA and put it right next to our bed. I think since she was able to see us she did much better. She cried for maybe 15 minutes the first night or two but ever since, she is quiet as a mouse when it's night night time in our house. After a while, we started moving her crate a little further away from our bed each night. Now she has moved all the way into the kitchen. She can still see us though. From her spot in the kitchen, she can look down the hall and see our bed. We now keep her PTPA open at night and she sleeps in her big girl bed that is set up right next to it. I keep her x-pen up at night too so she cannot roam the house. I give her just enough space to get to/from her bed to the pad and a tiny bit of room for her water bowl and a little play spot. I am not sure if it was the PTPA or what, but she did great with her potty training. We had a small setback after her spay, but she is back on track now. Good luck to you!
