Tis a hard situation. He is still getting used to his new situation, as you have only had him for 2wks.

I would crate train him. I've always crate trained pups, and I take them into work, and they are in their crates. Also you shouldn't leave any animal for 10 hrs without a potty break. I'm not sure from your post if you are peepad training, or having your Yorkie go outside. But if he is to be 100% trained to go outside, then I would look at a 8hr maximum, preferably six hours, and then he must be brought outside for pottying. also as a pup of only six months, he needs lots of exercise and play time.

If you want to leave him for 10 hours, then I suggest you get a dog walker, to exercise him and potty him while you are at work.
