To the OP, you need to read this post. This very thing is why you should not breed your dog. There are too many things that yorkies are prone to these days, due to back yard breeding. These are just some things that you need to read up on = AAI, Chiari, GME, Liver Shunt. And don't think that your dog or the stud is free from carrying the possibility to throw pups with these horrible things because unless you have spent at least a couple of thousand dollars on your girl, she is AKC & she came from a very reputable breeder & the stud you have chosen has also then you do run a very high risk of bringing pups with life long health issues into this world. Not to mention loosing your girl & all of her pups. Is that something you are prepared for ? Because these are the things that you need to consider before you add to the already overwhelming population of pets in need in the world & there are rescues FULL of yorkies that need homes, so many that most of them are full & have to turn yorkies away as there are not enough people to foster.
I agree, go to Utube & watch a birth & go to your local shelter for a reality check. Each time you buy one will die. Please reconsider.
