What I consider 'gray' on my pups (in the black) is the blue coloring of their back coats. At almost 8 months, you can see how different mine still are one to the next. Quattro hair on his head is very silvery. His back is still black, no grey or silver. Teddy has a lot of grey coming into the black now. Trina and Robyn lost their black at a young age and trina is becoming more dark silvery where she was black. Zoe, the mom is pretty light and Bronx, the dad is a dark silvery blue. They still seem to be changing a lot. I think 3 is the age they start to show their adult color.
