I have 3 females Yorkies I just brought the 3rd into our home with my other females. I am having problems with Macy who is 2 years old and the puppy. They are from the same mom and dad. I really fell in love with this puppy because she is the runt of the litter and is very small. My friend wanted me to take her because she knew how I cared for my other 2. I am failing badly. Macy will attack the puppy out of the blue I wasn't even in the room I had just walked out for a second Macy was on the couch and my husband was sitting in the chair and you know men he was into TV. She bit the puppy and my husband went to get Macy and she started to bite him. Needless to say he scolded Macy till she was shaking. This is so unlike Macy she has always been such a laid back kind of dog. You can groom her do just about anything and she never offers to bite unlike the older one who I can't touch her nails. She is doing good with the puppy, she doesn't play with her but she's not being mean. This is consuming my days because the puppy wants to be out with the rest of us and I have to watch every second they are together. I've even thought about asking my friend to take her back but we have fell in love with her plus I have a 16 year old that is taking care of the puppy most of the time when she's not in school or running around because I don't mess with her to much because of Macy. Macy acts depressed also. This hurts me to see her this way. I hope someone has been through something like this and can tell me how to handle it. I thought about a training class would that work or medicine which I don't want to do that but if it would help I'm willing to try anything. Thanks for any help. I posted this to someone's post and I was told to start a new thread I might get more help.
