I can totally relate. I have only had Sadie for ten mos. and I got her when she was 2 1/2 years old. She is the love of my life.
I don't even go on vacations anymore, unless, I can take her with me.
My parents could not totally relate at first, but they live across the street, and Grandpa and Grandma keep her when I am gone,
which is not too often now as she is my priority.
The good thing is now they are as addicted to her as I am.
It is a win win in all ways.
