I agree with most of the comments....I don't believe it to be abusive as some people feel it is protecting their pet from getting out! I do know some people that have had their dogs run through the fence and not get back in...I too, agree that it doesn't stop other dogs, wild animals, from getting in and attacking the pet behind the fence. There isn't any way I can talk my neighbors out of installing this fence...they feel they are doing it to protect their pup...and as we ALL know these little furbtts can have a mind of their own..the little guy next door is only 9 months old...EXTREMELY hyper...he isn't neutered...yet....he is alone WAY too long during the day and is the only pet....They feel bringing in another pup will help to keep him company and burn off some of the energy....IMO...the reason why he is so hyper is because he IS in all day and into the night and when that door opens...it's like....WEEEEEEEEE! I'm out!!
