US results are not always accurate for counting the number of pups. Unless you have someone who is very good at reading them or the vet has state of the art equipment that can pick up heartbeats. It is best to have xrays done to get a more accurate count. But wait until day 58. Just as an example. I had a bitch I had an ultrasound done on on day 30 of her pregnancy vet said 2 to 7. she had 4 puppies. My current bitch had her xray done on day 58 and it clearly showed 3 pups and she had 3 pups.
