You know, my baby Daisy was 12 weeks old at 1.5 lbs. She is now 2.5 years at around 5.5 lbs. I couldn't even imagine taking her home at 8 weeks...She was so small she sat in my palm....I put a little bell around her just so I wouldn't step on her. I would definately bring your sister (vet) with you when and if you decide to pick up earlier than expected. I would also ask her she had her shots and if she allows you to return if there is something seriously wrong with baby...That also is hard, because once you hold your baby, you never want to give it back.... You are rite about how fragile and dainty they are. They have to be old enough to understand about going weewee and being away from mommy. |
