NewYorksBrandy:

"Silky is 2 years old and Brandy is 6 months"

Silky has age and knowledge on his side, then.

"Silky's mommy said that Brandy bit Silky while playing. I must not have eyes and didn't see that at all."

Did Silky 'cry' when bitten? You don't need eyes to hear a pup yelp in pain. If not, that would, to me, indicate there was no pain and/or no biting, and/or if there was biting, that Silky knew it was play or Brandy's puppy-dom.

"Brand is a little bigger the him..."

Like how much...1 - 2 lbs.? Or 10 lbs.?
Is Silky ill or does he have a physical impairment that makes him too fragile for play?

"...I'm afraid she might have told the other furbaby mommies..."

I wouldn't want my pups playing with any dog who's mum was that mean...!

"...waited till Silky's mom calm down..."

...'cuz thumpin'er with a chiller stick seems a bit rude, too! lmao

Teegy:

If Silky was not distressed by it, then certainly...

"Silkies mum needs a glass of wine and a valium to help her chill"

...and there is no reason for discipline, and definitely...

"...no hitting and not yelling a firm serious tone..."

..would only even be necessary IF/WHEN the biting is NOT play and understood as "NOT PLAY" by Silky.

RustysMom:

"Brandy is 6 months old? That's a baby! They play bite! I think it is just wrong to try to condition them to not play at that age....if Silky's mother doesn't understand that, then Brandy shouldn't play with him at all....just my 2 cents."

...and a glass of wine, valium, or even some nice chamomile tea wouldn't hurt her ! My two play bite all the time and often there'll be a yelp as a little too much pressure is clamped down on an ear...or leg...and all I do about it is...well, mostly nothing...'cuz it's all over by then anyway! Maybe I should have that glass of wine...

lillymae:

"I doubt that Brandy will hurt Silky & if she gets outta control then most likely Silky will discipline her as doggies do. Brandy could actually benefit from playing with some older dogs as she needs to be taught how not to play too ruff & the best way is to let another dog of her size to teach her. I believe Miss Brandy was taken away from her doggy mommy before 12 wks ? & mommy dog would have taught her the do's & dont's of playing. Brandy is only doing what is a natural puppy behavior & I would be careful trying to teach her yourself as you do not want her to think that it's not OK to play."

That'd be my guess, too!
