I've had it done a few times and I wish I would have had some warning because I could NOT drive after it!! The very first time, I had to stare at the ground until I got close enough to my car to see it. Of course, I had to wear my glasses to the optometrist, and was soooo light sensitive afterwards, everything just looked glaring white!!! I found my darkest sunglasses and had to hold them over my glasses to get myself home. I was single at the time and had nobody around to get me... my roommate worked out of town! Every time since, I've had to have my boyfriend come and get me. I also find it very painful, it's a stinging sensation and my eyes water like crazy!
You know what might be worse? Having your eyes frozen. I've had to have them frozen, I think it was to test eyeball firmness or something. They put drops in to freeze, and then held my eyes open and poked me with this little device, and I couldn't feel it but I sure could see it. I am a pretty queasy person and knowing they're poking me in the eyes makes me just feel gross!
