That is an idea, but I just wouldn't feel comfortable with a stranger with them. Too overprotective maybe?

I don't know, but I'd like to find out! Or maybe someone along the way or close to where we'll be.......I'll have to check into it, thanks for the idea!

Of course any small dog owner would be fine, but its much harder when you have 2 like we do as well. We are close to the Old Towne Pet Resort, and I think that is our best option in case our only dog trustworthy friends can no longer handle it or are not available. I also would not trust a stranger house sitting for our guys or a random MSU student answering an add. Leaving them in a dog friendly hotel is not actually that bad of an option. The barking would hopefully be only in the day when no one is around, we have done that before and had no complaints even with a big barker. Good luck.
That would have been great! It is really hard, and it seems like we don't have many choices here in Lansing. I worry about leaving them in a hotel room while we are out. I read something awhile ago about the people coming back to their room, and their dogs were gone! They thought housekeeping or maintenance stole them my biggest fear is them getting lost or stolen.
