My opinion, get the bile acids done; they already should have been done at 16 wks, and the second set at six months. I'm assuming you've never had BATS done/

Bats give a clearer indication of the health of the liver. Depending on the results of same, the vet might elect to do neuter later on, or change his choice of anesthesia.

Not hard to do, it is just two blood draws done on the same day; one fasting one 2hours after food.
