Any kind of DSLR, so I have read, has no shutter lag at all, but they are expensive. I used to have a Kodak EasyShare and I hated, hated it due to the long shutter lag. I do hope Kodak has improved it........That was my only complaint with it. It died, my son went with me the day after Christmas to buy a Canon Power Shot A2200, 14.1 mega pixel, and I am liking it better every time I use it. Once you get it focused on a shot, there is absolutely no shutter lag at all, so I am quite the happy camper! We bought it at Radio Shack. It's an inexpensive point and shoot, much like the Elph.
