Default Bentley's leg

After watching my mother suffer with the complications and miseries from a long illness, I have very definite ideas of keeping any living thing alive just to prolong life. With that said, my 10 year old yorkie, Bentley, has started yelping and crying when he gets up after lying down for any period of time. Being all of 3 lbs, he has always been a little delicate, and yelps or cries at even the slightest hint of pain. Recently, he has gotten worse. He is definitely favoring his front right leg after he gets up. After a little walking and moving, he seems fine. He is getting daily glucosamine, but other than that nothing. I am taking him to the vet, should he not get better, but any suggestions in the meantime? He is my sweetest baby, next to Porsche, my 8 year old female. I would be devastated should anything happen to either of them. Help!
