Buy latex squeaky toys.
Aggie's about the same age and she loves these squeaky toys. Make sure to purchase the ones that s/he can squeeze and make sound on her own.
I bought several rubbery toys for her but she'd loose interest very fast. So far, the squeaky toys work very well.
Chek Wal Mart, I bought it there a while ago, two of them in a bag for $2.99.
