My boy as you know is a retired show boy. I think maybe, (they are just so so smart), that he knew I was going to a show. There are certain tell tales; like mom's packs camera, table, box with groom stuff, and maybe of course my energy denotes where I am going; and this is first time I've not taken him to a show when I go, even when I go to observe usually Magic is with me. This time, wasn't a good venue for this; as only dogs entered where supposed to be at the show, and I was already sneaking in Razzle, ... it is verra hard to sneak in a BRT Plus I was there to observe and help out my YOrkie friends, and to evaluate some puppy litters; so Magic would have had to stay in the van; and I don't like to do that.

So that is the backdrop as it were to the situation.

Haven't been able to duplicate yet the situation, but one day this week, I went to work, hubby was home and no fuss from Magic.

Magic and I we do have a very special relationship. He is my heart dog. We are very very close. Razzle is close to me too. Right now when I am typing. Magic's chin is on my left foot, Razzle on my right, Zoey off as the males claim my feet.

I just want to be pro active and to try to do all I can, to prevent or allay senility. I do remember Bon Bon's thread.

Magic has been under physio and chiro care for an old back injury. I do know that our lives have changed as a result of this; in so many many ways. So that could be part of it as well.

Oh Gawd, I am going on and on and on.

Thanks Kjc, Iwas hoping you would post.
I didn't catch that you were going to a show... with him being retired... he knows the routine... so I think it's most likely he may be missing the showing part (and you of course!) even though he goes to watch... they do miss getting in the ring....

When I worked with racehorses, after a race this horse would not settle, he kept looking back at the Winner's circle where they take pics of the winners... he did not win that day. I walked him back to it and posed him, although no one was there, even all the spectaters had cleared out. Stood him there for a minute or two then he was okay and we walked calmly back to the stables...

I do get your worry... I'm doing the same with my 15 yo Peek a Boo. I begin to question his every move...making myself crazy, lol.
