I personally would look myself and see if anyone is looking for her. I would also contact the shelters and police in that area and see if anyone reported a female Yorkie missing and yes even post myself on Craig's list without giving any identifying info. other then where the Yorkie was found. IF somoene steps forward that you are sure is the rightful owner and a caring owner then I would give them your friend's info. You may lose a friend, but think how you'd feel if your Yorkie accidently got out and you were looking and looking and someone had her, keeping her.

I know we rescued a little girl that we've now had eight weeks. Even though, she was in poor shape care wise I still looked to make sure she was not someone's lost dog. In my mind I felt that there could be if even slight a possibility that our girl was stolen or on her own awhile, hence her condition. No one came forward looking and through my search I could not locate an owner so she is staying with us. She was fixed and had a dental done, Tuesday. I hope that YOU will do the right thing even if your friend doesn't. By the way, our little girl wasn't as lucky. She was actually hit by a car and not expected to live. The person that hit her left her there to die and some wonderful young girl picked her up and also posted her on Craig's List looking for the owner. Elaine
