After Callie's knee surgery they gave me a pain med that I had many many problems in the past giving her this pill and I told the vet tech that so she went and got this thing called a pill shooter and told me how to use it. No you don't shoot it down the dogs throat you put the pill in put it toward the back of her throat and slightly hit the end which lets the pill gently fall out and down the back of her throat. Callie is VERY hard to get to take pills in food because she only eats small bites and this is the only thing I have found that always 100% works and it doesn't hurt her.
