welcome to YT....as far as the groomers suggesting that its better for her to be shave down instead, if you don't mind me asking, is she matted really bad when you take her in? do you brush her daily to make sure she is not badly matted? because if they get really matted then the best thing to do is shave them and start over....i recently had to shave one of my girls down and getting ready to shave another...because i their hair is badly matted on their legs and around their neck and part of their body...mostly due to my own fault of slacking on their brushing...so i shaved off the hair on their legs and body...keeping their face and tail so that i can regrow it out...they don't have silky hair so letting a mat go unattended for a few days can really turn bad...
here is a picture of Ting Ki who I just shaved down...with her having such thick cottony type hair i may just continue to keep her body shaved but let her leg hair grow in and keep the hair on her tail, face and head growing with the leg hair. |
