I just had this discussion with my vet too when I took Harry boy 8 to be neutered, I feed natures Variety , Harry is very healthy and lean, and he told me NO , no need to change his food, NV is a good all stages food and Harry is been doing very well on it for years, so no need so far to change food. so if your girl is doing well on her food I would not change it without a good talk to the vet, I had a whole blood panel done on Harry before his surgery,and my vet based a lot of his decision on the results and Harry's overall health..
