I hear a lot saying that a responsible pet owner is always on top of their animals.

What some don't realize is that animals are being ripped off their leash by a predator, hawks come down right next to you when you're in your yard and grab your pet (and even if they can't fly away far with them the claws or drop will kill 'em)

There is absolutely no guarentee that hovering over your animal is going to protect it from anything. Even a spider bite or scorpion bite could kill your animal. You're not going to be checking the ground your pet walks on.
To basically say someone is irresponsible for a wild creature killing your pet is not really fair. If some creature killed my animal I would be DEVASTATED and even more so if I was told that I wasn't a good mom because a scorpion killed my dog.

We have to remember we live in a world where there is a predator in every nook and cranny. I'm sure the YT member that got her yorkie taken right off the leash wasn't being irresponsible.

All that being said....should we be super paranoid with life in general? Worried about evey thing out there? Naw, just safeguard yourself, your property and your pets as best as you can and have faith that nothing bad will happen. Life is too short to be worried about every bug, animal and bird.

Not trying to attack anyone that said whatever or this and that....so don't take it that way.
