Love dont want to alarm you

I don't want to alarm anyone but after my yorkie was neutered her was very sick throwing up and the vet said it was from the anesthia. He was crying too, 6 months later I found out he had liver shunt disease which is very common in Yorkies especially if they don't come from a good breeder. We lost Theo after a 3 month battle in and out of the hospital. If your babies don't bounce back in a few days I encourage you to have a test done because if liver shunt is detected they can operate while they are very young and most have a preatty normal life. I wish someone would of told me this when he was 6 months then maybe we would still have him. He also had teeth that needed to be extracted but we couldn't put him back under. Sadly yorkies purchased at puppy stores or from backyard breeders are usually not healthy and it leads to heartache. Theo's 3rd year anniversary is coming up on St. Patty's Day and our hearts still hurt from losing him. I had one other Yorkie that I purchased 3 months after Theo from the same place since we didn't know better (Puppy Boutique)and he has a few throwing up issues but at least he will be 4 yrs old and for the most part is healthy. I found a great breeder last year in Long Island so Charlie has a little sister who is a bundle of energy. I can see the difference between a healthy Yorkie and one purchased from a pet store. PLEASE DON'T BUY YOUR BABIES FROM PET STORES. My next Yorkie I will rescue or get from the same breeder if none are available.
