dental prices at my vet (near chicago) are $190 including anesthesia and cleaning. iv fluids during surgery is $36, pre-op bloodwork around $100, ecg on heart $65, $40 per tooth extraction. (unless they are pulling baby teeth, it is more like $5 each) antibiotics are included, pain meds are about $30.
last february, my 2 girls went in for dentals and everything in the end for the 2 of them (including preop bloodwork, etc.) was about $900. that included one extraction on my older girl zowi and several retained baby teeth removed from pixie. this was during dental month (february) at our vets office and i saved about $100 because they were running a special. i have my girl's teeth cleaned every 2 years and the price goes up considerably each time.

i'm sorry to hear that your sweet bella has addison's. my zowi (11 years old) was diagnosed with cushing's disease (opposite of addison's) last june and i understand the high cost of treating/monitoring, and what you're going through trying to keep your little one well. i too would be afraid with bella's conditions to take her to someone else and would rather pay more knowing she's with someone who knows her conditions and has already been trusted and is treating her successfully. you will know she is the very best of hands. bella is very lucky to have you, sounds like you're a great mommy. hope all goes well for you and bella!
