Charlie will sleep in until 10 or later some days, but we stay up late and he isn't really a napper. I was nervous he wasn't getting the amount of food recommended on the bag because he wouldn't eat when first getting up either. I started putting up all his toys at night so when he comes from the bedroom there aren't distractions. We also do training first thing with kibble and a few Cheerios. Then I put his food down and he gets no toys until he eats a decent amount. Sometimes this takes a good 10 mins of him following me around but he finally decides ok, I'll eat. Then he gets toys.

To get him to eat his kibble I started putting not even 1/2 tsp plain yogurt in his 1/4 cup serving of food, stirring it up. I do this 2/day. I wasn't really worried about his weight, he is nearly 4 lbs but worried about hypoglycemia and not getting daily vitamins, protein, etc. He hardly ever leaves his bowl with food now. I know they say feed 3/day but with the hrs Charlie and I keep twice worked better. Of course we train a few times a day so he is getting kibble I left out of the daily meals too.
