I had a similar thing happen to our Mica when I took her in just to get a slight trim when she was about six months old. I specifically said to tip her ears and just take a small amount off to even her up. I was shocked when I picked her up and they had layered her entire body, shaved her nose and under her eyes and didn't even tip her ears like I asked.

It wasn't Petsmart but was a different groomer where we live. I started to groom the girls myself after that experience. At least I can clip them how I want them to look. It's by no means perfect but honestly, I think I do a better job than they did on Mica that first time.

I'm so sorry you had this experience with your first grooming session at Petsmart too. I really wish groomers would listen to what people ask for they are just as bad as human hairdressers at not listening to what the customer wants.
