I'm very sorry for your loss of your 2 girls, and I wish you the best in your search for a pup.
I recommend researching breeders and their lines. Ask if the breeder does genetic testing on her/his breeding dogs. You definitely want to see the parents and maybe photographs of previous generations. In addition, you can look for a few things on the pup: really thick, long hair on the legs and paws are often indicative of a cottony coat. Large paws (along with size of parents) will give a clue to how big the pup will grow. None of these are guarantees.
I would look for CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) or AKC registration and a good health guarantee.
