I had a similar situation but the roles reversed. My girl, Lexie, was the same way when I first brought MoMo home. She sniffed him to feel him out but would never play or engage him other wise. He was always trying to play with her but she would just get up and walk away to the other side of the bed or kitchen or where ever she was. During the course of the next couple of weeks, she started to get used to him and wouldn't move if he came to sit next to her or near her. Now, they are great companions! I would just give it time. But I never left them alone together in the beginning just in case she didn't like him getting close to her and bit him. Good luck!
