Yep. I used to give bride and groom one for wedding cake toppers from the cakes I made them. Some people froze the edible people, etc. but they are nice for display 'cuz you can easily lift the dome any time to view the trinket or clean the dome. If you want to put it on a lighted, turning base, look for a glass or crystal candle holder or coaster to fit the glass dome. I also have made my own with pretty, clear compotes, candy dishes, drinking glasses, fish bowls, etc., turned upside down on clear candle holders. Flea markets are great for variety. You can seal with hot glue or make a gasket and/or inner, non-slip base out of latex rubber which is clearish-white if you want to remove the contents. The hot glue mats, which are now inexpensive compared to years ago, do work.

I have some plastic display cases for little collectible stuffies, and I like them too, but sizes were the problem...and reliable sources.
