There are lots of yorkie rescue groups all over the country and I am sure there is one in that area or close by. I would call every vet office in the area and ask about new patients during that time frame. If hse was microchipped the vet might have scanned the chip and have the info for you. I would also place an ad in the local newspaper with a REWARD offered for anyone with any information about her whereabouts.
There is also a regional section on this forum that you may want to check and post another thread on in case someone from that area is reading on there.
If there is a yorkie club or a meet up group for yorkies in that area, that woud be worth exploring too. Go to meetup.com to see if there is one.
Ditto, try to put in the ad or flyer that it is a remembrance of your brother , maybe that will help. Sorry about your loss...
