I've been doing that, too!!
Harry knows the word 'ball' (of course!
) - but it only took a few minutes for him to realise the difference between 'ball' and 'squeaky ball' (with me doing a few mouse-y impersonations...not a pretty sight
).
As for 'normal speak' - we too have started spelling stuff. Unfortunately we now can't get beyond W-A-.....and Harry's sitting by the front door...!!!
