It could be something you have to deal with. Both of my boys have small eye boogies daily and I wipe them out every morning. My boys have clear boogies and my vet assured me not to worry, very normal for yorkies. Snickers once had dark red, staining boogies and that changed after I switched his diet. Reesie also came to me with some light reddish boogies and I switched his diet and they turned clear. I feed Bravo! raw.

ps. Some say adding Apple Cider Vinegar to water (few drops) helps with this problem. Also, if your pup's water/food dish are not stainless steal, try that and you may see change.
