A couple of years I was devastated when Bruce picked up Beamer and Lil Bit from the boarding kennel where they had been staying while we were on a cruise. When we dropped them off they asked about grooming. I said to just bathe Beamer and to cut Lil Bit down. They had groomed Beamer just a week earlier so they knew him.
When Bruce picked them up they had cut Beamer down and just bathed Lil Bit. They apologized and said they had got them mixed up. (how they could have mixed the two of them up I have no idea, they are totally different, Beamer has the silky coat and Lil Bit the cotton coat, and Lil Bit is 7 years older than Beamer)
I was so sure that it would take a long time for Beamer's coat to grow back, but it only took a couple of months. Needless to say we have never been back to that kennel. I have a great groomer who comes to the house.
