| It is possible that skunks and other wild animals can carry the "Leptospirosis" disease. Has your pup been vaccinated against it? Leptospirosis - This is a bacterial disease transmitted through urine and feces of infected animals. It infects the kidneys and causes weakness, vomiting, high fever and loss of appetite. The vaccine does not cover all strains of Lepto. Early treatment with antibiotics or a combination of antibiotics usually results in good prognosis. Lepto is transmissible to humans!
