wow you friend sent your puppy home @ 7 weeks old? just shocking to read that...but i too just recently bought home a new puppy 2 weeks ago...he is now 18.5 weeks old. And i have 4 girls...Ting Ting the one who is attached to my hip is still having some issues with him...but not much...i let them all sleep in the same crate...Ting Ting was always just going into the kennel and lays in there if he is out and about romping around with the others or playing with me and my nieces....but now she is slowly coming around...she is out more and is more tolerate of him coming by her...so give it some time...i didn't do anything different...i guess all dogs are different...1 of my girls took to him within a few hours...another follow shortly after...the other girl observe him playing with the other 2 for a few days while she sat on the couch looking down...being that she was the youngest i figured she would have been the first to accept and play with him but she was the 3rd...one night after watching him and the other 2 girls play she finally jumped down and started nudging him to play with her....but even still she still had her issues with him...and everyday was a surprise as to how she would act towards him...one minute she would play next minute she would snap at him...but now that he has been here 2 full weeks and they all sleep together in 1 big kennel...go outside to potty together....come in together...eat and drink together...it's almost as if he been here longer than he has...with the exception of Ting Ting...she would eat, sleep, drink and walk with him...but haven't seen her play with him...but i know she will come around as she figures out that he is here to stay and won't be going anywhere... |
