New Yorkie puppy Question? I couldn't decide how to title this thread it's more about the other Yorkies I already have that is causing me problems right now not the puppy. I have 2 female grown Yorkies and just brought another one into the family. She is just 7 weeeks and very small one of my other Yorkies come from the same mom. The reason I wanted another one of Macy is because of how good of a dog she has been she is so laid back will let me groom her cut her nails just very trusting. My other Yorkie her name is Zoey is a Miss touch me not can't do anything with her. I thought she would give me problems with the puppy but she has handled it well. My Macy is just depressed she doesn't want to eat , want play. When we first brought the puppy home we let her smell and check her out but she just started shaking and was burying her face in the couch anything she can to get away from looking at this puppy. I'm not even the main one taking care of the puppy just because of the way Macy is acting, she was very attached to me I don't know about now. I try to pet her and show her lots of attentions and she will smell me to see if she smells the puppy on me then if she does she'll turn her head and walk off. I'm so missing bonding with the puppy I just don't know what to do. I never thought Macy would act like this. Does anyone have any advice for me? Another reason I have this puppy is my friend didn't want anyone with small children to have this puppy she was the runt of the litter and is much smaller than the rest. Now I feel like a failure that I can't make the dogs like each other. Sorry this is so long. I haven't posted many times so most of you have not heard of me but I do read alot on the forum. We haven't named the puppy yet either trying to match it up with Zoey and Macy if anyone has any ideas. |
