It's okay don't beat yourself up, furkids have no way of understanding what you are going through. I'm sure if she understood spoken words she would be more sympathetic. IMO I would give it some time. When you are out of the pit and in better light Princess will feed off of that positive energy and come around in no time.
Our fluffs have a keen sense and can sniff out my bad days and know when to stay away. Tessa is my emo-child and will run to her dad to get her diva fix. Daisy, my maltese, on the other hand loves me through and through, even when I'm off putting and no fun to be around. Love her to pieces. I come to accept that both my girls have different personalities and no 2 fluffs are the same, which makes them unique and interesting. I accepted the fact that Tessa is a daddy's girl and I still treat her the same as I would Daisy. I don't question her love and affections for me because she really is a bit of a sassy girl that does things on her own terms. Her attitude really humors me and sweetie always joke that Tessa is only taking after her mommy lol.
Anyway I hope you feel better. Don't force or expect affection from your little girl, it only makes matter worse, rather let her come around when she's ready. But most importantly please try to remain positive, we all have our dark times. No one's perfect I know I'm not. |
